What a month February has been!

The BBA education team have been over in North America showing British Barbering at its best! The tour is ongoing throughout 2018 and the barbers of North America can’t get enough of the quality of education and training we are delivering. March will see Gary Machin & Jac Ludlow head off to Canada.

Our trio of competitions are smashing records for number of entrants this year! The National Student Barber of the Year and British Barber of the year entries closing dates are in March, and Britain’s Best Shave starts the regional competitions next month, see the competition section of the digest for more information

The Hall of Fame photo-shoot is booked for next month and the winners are taking this time to prep their models, ensuring they get the right editorial look to showcase their work in the trade press and to be used worldwide. We are so excited to be working with photographer Tim Collins who has an eye like no other when it comes to barbering and male image shots.

Our focus over the next few months is to ensure the barbering industry closes its skill gaps, particularly for shaving. The BBA is working closely with the government on the new workplace learning project and are representing barbering on the T Level panels. We will keep you involved and updated as these progress.

There is so much information to help and support you as a barber or barbershop in the digest so take time to get up to speed.
