In a true celebration of Scottish barbering, the British Barbers’ Association (BBA) have teamed up with The Bluebeards Revenge male grooming brand and Barber NV magazine (official media partner) in a bid to track down Scotland’s best barber. Six of the most creative Scottish barbers have been shortlisted, and they are currently battling each other in an online public vote. The deadline for votes is Sunday March 20th.

The top three scoring barbers from the online public vote will then travel to the Scottish Barber Trade Show in Edinburgh on Sunday April 24th for the national final. This will take place on the main BBA stage at 2pm, with the winner announced to the world at 5pm. Scotland’s champion will be invited to come back on the Monday (April 25th) and perform live on the BBA stage. This is scheduled to take place at 1pm.

Already lined up to grace the BBA stage over the two days at the show is Mike Taylor (BBA director), Sheriff Mehmet (Envy Training), Luigi Caterino (Britain's Best Shave 2015 winner and official barber to Glasgow Rangers FC) and Chris Moon (British Master Barbers). And we’re delighted to announce that we have just signed up leading British barber Shakar Bakani to perform a ‘blind’ cut-throat shave on the Sunday at 1pm. Shakar, who reached the final of the last two Britain’s Best Shave finals, will showcase his full range of wet shaving skills whilst being blindfolded on the big stage. It will be true shaving theatre and should not be missed.

Andrew Brewster, founder of Scotland’s Best Barber media partner, Barber NV magazine, said he was very excited to be involved in such a coveted competition. He explained: “It's been an exciting few years for barbering in Scotland. We've seen the emergence of some top talent north of the border that has helped put Scottish barbering well and truly on the map. This year is looking to be a massive year for barbering in Scotland and I can only see it going from strength to strength.”

Barber NV Magazine is an essential read for barbering professionals and a vital platform for every brand that wants to get its message across to the people that matter.
