The BBA held a get together for its members at the London Barber Surgeons Hall late in October, attended was a lot of keys members so we could all network together and share ideas.
In the morning we had speakers which I was one of them I spoke about the BBA in general and what we have planed for 2016 which will be our most exciting yet! Just wait we will blow your socks off, good times ahead for barbering.

Normally November is quiet time in the barbering world but not for me I have been in undated with people wanting to learn barbering.

Who could of predicted that my loved trade would be the most popular trade know to man in 2015?

This brings me to my point which is, we all see barbershops opening up everywhere, so why are we all still charging to little for our trade?

I know when I speak out about this some barbers get on their high horse and say its my area or I like to give back….

Yes, I get it London prices will be more expensive then the rest of the UK, but nobody in 2015 should be cutting hair for less then a tenner. The problem is that it is not only bad barbers charging the low prices, I know excellent barbers doing this.

The other day I was in my local gym and saw a guy with a good cut, when I see a good cut I always ask who done it. When I asked the guy he said why whats wrong with it? I said nothing its just a really good haircut, then he went on to tell me that he only pays £8 for his cut.

Guys please lets make a stand and make a new years resolution to put our prices up by at least 10%, if we all do this what will happen? Nothing we will all just earn 10% more.

Remember we are the second oldest trade in the world and the first legal one ;)
