Chris Foster Introduction
With over 20 years experience within the male hairdressing industry. I pride myself incorporating an innovative modern flair to traditional barbering.
At present I am a Creative Director based at The Refinery, Mayfair and Harrods Barbershop. Also, Principal of The Foss Academy, dedicated to providing education through elite male grooming training . I am also currently the Style Director for The British Barbers Association.
My unique approach to male grooming has allowed me to present my creativity through Session work and as a Platform artist both nationally and internationally.
I've had the privilege to head up global creative teams, demonstrating diverse skills for shows including Fashion weeks in Paris, Moscow, New York, and London.
Also with publications showcasing my work as Sunday Times Style Supplement, Hairdressers Journal, FHM and Men’s Health Magazine.
My awards and accolades includes; Hair Magazine Best Men’s Hairdresser of the year 2014, Master Craftsman Diploma from the Hair Council. Nominated finalist in the Men’s category of ‘The British Hairdressing Awards’, three times winner of ‘Black Hair & Beauty Barber of the Year’; allowing me exclusive entry to the ‘Barbering Hall Of Fame’ and winner of ‘The Guild European Golden Clipper Award’. I was very honoured to be amongst the industry icons to collect the first honorary PHAB Standard, PHAB (Performance in Hair and Beauty)
